'U' students honored with prestigious scholarships
The award season continues at MSU as two more undergraduate students have received prestigious national scholarships. Timothy Howes has been named a Churchill Scholar and Jacob Phelps was selected as a Truman Scholar. Last month, Stuart Kaltz, Katherine Leitch and Anjali Rohatgi were awarded Goldwater Scholarships. Professional and graduate programs achieve solid gains in national rankings
The MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine and MSU College of Human Medicine both moved up on the list of the top medical schools for primary care training, according to the 2007 edition of America’s Best Graduate Schools from U.S. News & World Report that hit newsstands April 3. (Full Story)
Faculty members awarded Guggenheim Fellowships
Two MSU professors who conduct international research with hyenas and pandas are among 187 winners of the 2006 Guggenheim Fellowships, awarded to artists, scholars and scientists for distinguished past achievements and exceptional promise of future accomplishments. (Full Story)
Law clinic to expand services
The Small Business & Nonprofit Clinic, one of four public-interest clinics operated by the MSU College of Law, will be able to expand its services to small businesses and nonprofit organizations thanks to a $49,000 grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. (Full Story)
