MSU garden's patron saint is greenNot all angels are ethereal. An MSU garden has one that's evergreen. One of the weeping Norway spruces at MSU's Hidden Lake Gardens has grown into the shape of an angel, albeit a green, rather droopy angel. The angel's engagement is limited, since its shape is courtesy of nature's growing pattern.

The tree is part of the Harper Collection of Dwarf and Rare Conifers. Hidden Lake Gardens is a landscape arboretum for the benefit and education of the public. It boasts 755 acres of property surrounding Hidden Lake in southern Michigan on Route 50. For more information about, and directions to, Hidden Lake Gardens, visit the Web at www.cpp.msu.edu/hlg/
