Carol Barlow, 76, administrative assistant in AIS, of Lansing, died May 21. Barlow joined the staff in 1968 and retired in 1997.

Jean Blair, 81, staff member at the MSU Press, of Sacramento, Calif., died May 14. Blair joined the staff in 1956 and retired in 1987.

James Bristor, 77, professor emeritus of park, recreation and tourism resources, of East Lansing, died May 25. Bristor joined the faculty in 1963 and retired in 2000. His wife, Tsao Fang Yuan, survives.

Ann Flescher, 49, assistant director of counseling services, of Lansing, died May 23. Flescher joined the staff in 1991.
Chester Mackson, 88, professor emeritus of packaging, of East Lansing, died May 21. Mackson joined the faculty in 1954 and retired in 1987. His wife, Marilyn, survives.

Robert A. Martin, 77, professor emeritus of English, of Canton, died May 7. Martin joined the faculty in 1986 and retired in 2001.

Mildred J. Miller, 76, secretary to the dean of osteopathic medicine, of Okemos, died May 17. Miller joined the staff in 1978 and retired in1997.

Bohn Musgrave, 103, assistant field operations director of Cooperative Extension Services, of Haslett, died May 26. Musgrave joined the staff in 1930 and retired in 1969.

Edwin Schneider, 84, food stores assistant manager, of Lansing, died June 3. Schneider joined the faculty in 1947 and retired in 1987. His wife, Florence, survives.

Joan Shumaker, 79, controller’s office assistant, of Charlotte, died June 3. Shumaker joined the faculty in 1947 and retired in 1987. Her husband, Gale, survives.

Mahlon Smith, 80, professor emeritus of mechanical engineering, of Haslett, died May 30. Smith joined the faculty in 1964 and retired in 1997. His wife, Geraldine, survives.
