Happy Thanksgiving

MSU offices will be closed Nov. 25 and 26 to observe the Thanksgiving holiday. Turkeys that won’t be on a table this Thursday can be found at the MSU Turkey Nutrition Lab. The lab houses anywhere from 800 to 1600 turkeys each year and conducts research that focuses on the turkeys’ health, ranging from enzyme reactions to a turkey’s leg strength.

MSU receives national award

MSU's innovative international resources and training for current and future K-12 teachers have earned the university the Goldman Sachs Foundation's prestigious Prize for Excellence in International Education. (Full story)

Thanks to an improving economy and a more stable labor market, the collegiate hiring trend tide has turned, according to the 34th annual "Recruiting Trends" survey conducted by the Collegiate Employment Research Institute at MSU. (Full story)

Board approves agreements with Simon, McPherson

At its Nov. 12 meeting, the MSU Board of Trustees gave its approval to a contract for in-coming president Lou Anna K. Simon. (Full story)

Stadium project changes include seat restoration, additional unit

The MSU Board of Trustees has approved changes in the university's plans to renovate Spartan Stadium, including the additional restoration of seats and the preparation of space for another unit in the stadium's new addition. (Full story)

MSU student radio station first to broadcast digitally

MSU's student-run radio station, WDBM-FM, commonly known as "The Impact," is the first college radio station in the United States to broadcast digitally in HD radio. (Full story)

NIH grant to 'U' funds partnership with University of Malawi

MSU will use a grant of more than a half-million dollars to establish a partnership between MSU's medical ethics program and the University of Malawi. (Full story)

Veterinary medicine critical care unit to be built
