Deaths

Gordon Galloway, 67, professor emeritus of chemistry, of Okemos died Oct. 15. Galloway joined the faculty in 1989 and retired in 1998. His wife, Marianne, survives.

Glenn Johnson, 85, professor emeritus of agricultural economics, of Okemos died Oct. 7. Johnson joined the faculty in 1953 and retired in 1988.

Shupai Muskwe, 29, information technologist, University Services, of East Lansing died Oct. 28. Muskwe joined the staff in 2003.

Elba Molina Pung, 81, professor emeritus of human medicine, of East Lansing died Oct. 4. Pung joined the faculty in 1971 and retired in 1985. Her husband, Jerome, survives.

Bethel Schmidt, 80, retired home economist, MSU Extension, of Mendon died Oct. 4. Schmidt joined the staff in 1964 and retired in 1986. Her husband, Eugene, survives.

Harley Twichell, 83, retired supervisor, Department of Chemistry, of Gladwin died Sept. 22. Twichell joined the staff in 1946 and retired in 1982. His wife, Arlene, survives.
