Boldly going in new directions

Simon announced the university’s new initiative, “Boldness by Design,” during her sesquicentennial address at the MSU Kellogg Center. The two-day event also brought together some of the nation’s best thinkers, including Williams, to help put the initiative into perspective.

MSU began its second 150 years of existence by announcing a new initiative that will result in the university being recognized as the nation’s leading land-grant research institution. (Full Story)

Researchers to investigate possible ADHD links

A team of researchers from MSU will be using two grants totaling nearly $3.5 million to determine if environmental contaminants, as well as hormonal influences, play a role in attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children. (Full Story)

Statistical training center to bolster research commitment

Recognizing that statistical analyses are an important part of much current empirical research, the new MSU Center for Statistical Training and Consulting (CSTAT) is inviting the MSU community to explore opportunities for help with statistical methodology at an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 20 in 178 Giltner Hall.
